PAX rescue bag RTS AIR - summit cross meets lighthouse
Summit cross meets lighthouse - from horizontal net to medical product - about the successful collaboration between MK-MED Medizintechnik AG (hereafter MK-MED), Air Zermatt AG (hereafter "Air Zermatt") and X-CEN-TEK GmbH & Co. KG (hereinafter PAX-Bags) using the product example of the PAX Rescue Bag RTS AIR.
With the PAX RTS AIR rescue bag, one of the few rescue bags approved as a medical device has been developed and brought to market maturity.
The foundation stone for the development of the PAX RTS AIR rescue bag was laid in 2016. With Manfred Kinnast (CEO, MK-MED Medizintechnik AG), Dr. Axel Mann (former Medical Director, Air Zermatt) and Dr. Nils-Lasse Schneider (Product Manager, PAX-Bags), the rescue bag project was launched by these three major drivers of innovation.
The development of the PAX RTS AIR rescue bag was intended to set new standards for patient transportation in the field of air rescue.

The PAX RTS AIR rescue bag is characterized by the consistent absence of Velcro in order to protect the safety-relevant ropes and straps for winching.
With the all-round zipper, the PAX RTS AIR rescue bag can be operated by just one person, even in adverse conditions. The internal lacing system in the head area and the color-coded compression straps allow the PAX rescue bag to be quickly adapted to the patient.
The redundantly designed loop system for attaching the hanger to the helicopter for transportation as an external load ensures particular safety.
Vertical rescue or abseiling is also possible and permitted. All loops and ropes are safely stowed in pockets.
