Blizzard Protection Systems (BPS) offers products for civilian and military applications. The new technology provides maximum warmth and weather protection with the smallest packaging. The Blizzard Reflexcell™ products are made of a multilayer composite material consisting of two aluminum foils and a plastic film. However, the peculiarity lies in the structure of the materials. The foils are z-folded and staggered on top of each other. This creates a cell-like tissue structure that optimally stores heat. The two inner layers have fine perforation. This allows the air heated by the body to circulate evenly in the cavities. The outer aluminum layer, on the other hand, is impermeable and also reflects heat. The Reflexcell™ material is completely waterproof and windproof. The rescue blanket is vacuum-packed and can thus be stored in a space-saving manner – despite a size of 2.00 m by 2.00 m when unfolded.
Blizzard Reflexcell can be left on the patient in both X-ray and CT.
